I got a guitar and wanted to know some differences?
I got a Taylor 210-CE-G-L Dreadnought Left-Handed Acoustic-Electric Guitar, and it says the sides are made from indian rosewood, but its laminated.
and the Taylor 314-CE Left-Handed Grand Auditorium Acoustic-Electric Guitar, the sides are made from sapele. I wanted to know which is a better wood, what would make a better sound quality
The Rosewood is slightly a better choice; but as you said, it is laminated, which does to away from the “Natural” sound. Not so much that you can hear a clear change in sound, but it still does make a difference. Sapele is very nice, and also a great choice. Ultimately, rosewood is the better wood, however, if I had a choice, I would much rather take a guitar with unfinished wood over a laminated one.
