Left Handed Taylor Guitars Question
help with my guitar problems? ( o )==#?
hi there.okay, i’m playing guitar for about about 9 months now, and i can play a handful of songs, read and play tabs.now i have a few questions:
1) how do i tune a guitar properly? i know the process to standard tuning using the fifth fret things, but i can’t get them to sound alike, i have problems turning the hinges- thing.
2) how do i ear-train myself?you know, to decode the chords and tabs to songs?
3) how do i remove the foul metal smell in my left hand fingertips after playing?
and lastly…
4) any tips how to improve my guitar playing skills?
if you can’t answer all, maybe you can answer one or two??or recommend sites??thank you very much in advance!!

Find a local store that is willing to SHOW you how to use it, with YOUR guitar.
call around first, and bring your guitar along,

3) I have a lot of oils, acids in my hands, when they sweat.
All I can suggest, is washing your hands good before and after you play/practice. what you smell, is the chemical reaction to the oils in your hands, with the metal in the strings.
4) I strongly suggest a teacher, to help you get started.
You don’t need that many lessons, just a few to get started.
Again, I can SHOW this stuff, but no book, video, web site, can watch YOU play, see just how you hold your hands, do the fingering.
They just can’t answer your questions, the way that someone can, that has seen YOU play.
If you have a friend, that has a few years of experience, they might be able to help too, but you really do need someone watch you play, to give you good answers.
5) You didn’t ask, but don’t limit yourself to one artist,
open yourself up to many, they will influence you, inspire you, in different ways.
